What to Do If I Catch a Bat in My Home?
Depending upon where you live in the country, you may face a time when a bat has gotten into your home. Maybe it had been living in your attic, finding a gap in the siding of your home so that it was able to get inside. It could also be that it came through your front door or window one evening. That is usually an instance that terrifies people. Hopefully, you have been able to collect your wits about yourself. You have thrown a blanket over the animal or maybe knocked it down with a broom, incapacitating it for a time. Now you are wondering what you do after you catch a bat inside your house?

Be Cautious First
Before doing anything at all, your first step is to be extremely cautious. These are dangerous animals. Bats are wild animals, meaning that they will scratch, claw, and bite you. Anyone of these can pose a serious risk to you, your family, and your pets. You also have to realize that bats are the carriers of a number of parasites and diseases. Anyone of these could prove to be life-threatening to you if not treated right away. This is why you need to be extremely cautious with this animal.

Just Get It Out of Your House
The solution is that you want the animal out of your home. Maybe you are looking for a permanent relocation, unless that relocation is simply out of your house.

There are ways to get it out quickly, but you need to be cautious. Keep in mind that this is a dangerous animal and you don’t want to be injured or made ill, so protecting yourself is the first order of business.
